This IQP API provides access to precise eclipse local circumstances computations (so far, limited to TSE2026).
You can use the API key directly in apps like Total Control or you can execute a curl command, an example of which will be given when the API key is generated.
The output is a JSON file containing:
eclipse_type: the type of eclipse visible by the observer.
eclipse_magnitude: the maximum eclipse magnitude at the observer's location.
eclipse_obscuration: the maximum eclipse obscuration at the observer's location.
duration: the duration of totality/annularity or of partiality at the observer's location.
eclipse_events: the collection of eclipse local circumstances for the observer.
event_type: the type of event (c1, c2, max, c3, c4, sunrise, sunset).
utc_date: the UTC date of the event.
utc_time: the UTC time of the event.
local_date: the local date of the event.
local_time: the local time of the event.
height: the Sun's altitude at the time of the event.
azimuth: the Sun's azimuth at the time of the event.
visibility: true/false if the event is above/below the horizon.
